Circular connectors are everywhere. So, do you know what the insulation materials of circular connectors are common?

Thermoplastic: polyamide, polycarbonate, PVC, ABS, polyurethane, polysulfone, polytetrafluoroethylene, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyphenylene ether, polyester, PPS.
Thermosetting plastics: phenolic resin, urine formaldehyde, DAP, epoxy resin.

Nylon (PA): milky white, good toughness, wear resistance, odorless, drilling, cutting, planing, injection molding, good creep resistance (kb600), moisture absorption and heat resistance 105 ℃.

Polyethylene (PE): excellent chemical resistance, good insulation performance, cheaper, low density polyethylene, heat resistance 80 ℃.
Polypropylene (PP): light weight, cheaper, wear-resistant, good engineering performance, water resistance, used for small and ultra small coaxial connectors, heat resistance 90 ℃.

Polyphenylene ether (PPO): excellent engineering performance, good mechanical and electrical properties, poor solvent resistance, creep resistance (kb300), heat resistance 105 ℃. Polyester (PBT): the thermoplastic is more and more used, excellent chemical and electrical properties, dimensional stability, good plasticity, creep resistance (kb250), heat resistance of 120 ℃.

Phenolic resin (PE): phenolic resin is composed of phenol and formaldehyde polyconders, excellent load resistance and deformation resistance, stable size in wide temperature range, chemical resistance, common solvents and weak acid, allowable insulation performance and heat resistance of 150 ℃.

Urine formaldehyde (MF): urine formaldehyde is composed of melamine and formaldehyde polyconders, high mechanical resistance, low price, high creep resistance (kb600), many colors and heat resistance of 70 ℃.
DAP: excellent dimensional stability, temperature resistance, excellent humidity resistance, strong and weak acid, alkali, solvent, creep resistance (kb600), is the highest quality plastic, usually blue, used for the most advanced military connectors, high price and 180 ℃ heat resistance.

Epoxy resin (EP): epoxy resin is usually used for high quality printed circuit board, Lgh and ARINC, excellent strength and tenacity, excellent adhesion to other materials, low dielectric constant and high voltage resistance, good mechanical stability, corresponding loss and heat resistance of 110 ℃.

PC: good wear resistance, good molding, good insulation, dimensional stability, poor solvent resistance, low water absorption, and is often used for multi connector, medium creep resistance (kb125) heat resistance of 130 ℃.

PVC: used for cable, sheath and heat shrinkable pipe. It has good physical properties, weather resistance, low moisture absorption, good extrusion forming, not suitable for shell, it is sticky and heat resistant 60 ℃.

Abs: this plastic is used as a nylon shell substitute, with good mechanical properties, heat resistance and chemicals, easy to process, cheaper than nylon, creep resistance (kb300), heat resistance of 60 ℃.
Polyurethane (PUR): easy to bend and fatigue resistant, excellent tear strength, good chemical and solvent resistance, used for ultra small connectors and rotary switches, heat resistance 85 ℃.
Polysulfone (PSO): used for socket housing material, good electrical performance, excellent temperature resistance, good engineering performance, not too expensive, good chemical resistance and heat resistance of 150 ℃.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE): excellent temperature resistance, good chemical and solvent resistance, climate resistance, excellent insulation performance, difficult to absorb water, very expensive, radiation resistant. The heat resistance is
